Hietasaari
This four hectare treeless rectangular is a surprising discovery for a Sunday hiker in the Hietasaari forest. The area has been cut down and is a part of a bigger recreational development in the area. Time has passed since the last development plans here and meanwhile wildlife has taken over the old field and villa island. Local bikers, birdwatchers and wanderers have found this ”forgotten” green area near the city center. The photo series displays the current use and evokes to think about the future development

Sörnäinen
A stroll around Sörnäinen neighbourhood, where old school pubs and brick and mortar stores give room to trending pizzerias. The temporariness of façade styles is revealed as visual layers of streetscape. Materials and posters crumble. Paint is applied and removed.
